Container WIP 1

Hello all. I know it's been a long time and I'm continuing my habit of not finishing projects I start (although in the case of Proto 6 I'm actually doing a total redesign now that work isn't taking up all my time) but people wanted to see this crate I'm working on

So what compelled me to go from making big and cool ships to a simple storage bin/container? Well it was a number of factors. Firstly, while working on Proto 6 and another project I realized that I'm not good at adding details to ships, only the basic shapes. It's something I lack and I think it might be because I'm just starting too big and not thinking small enough (odd as that sounds). So I was thinking of making something small and then I saw THIS VIDEO and saw some of the textures in the scenes which made me realize that I knew how they were done and I was reasonably confident that with some effort I was capable of the same.

So that's how this came about and I've only worked on it today between playing ArchAge and taking care of other things. I hope I'll be able to actually finish this one and then go back and complete the ones I haven't finished yet.
